CREW PROFILE

 

 

Captain:                        Chris Bairamis, 31 years old, Greek Nationality, single. He has a Naval Academy degree and holds a Master's Diploma 3^rd Class. He has nine years of experience at sea service on various Cruising Ships and yachts among them "SHABALA", "ARGONAUTIS". He took the over the command of "ALTHEA" during Summer 2013. His hobbies are fishing, surfing, swimming and all sea sports. Captain Chris has a very pleasant personality. He is very well organized and co-operative with his colleagues and his superiors. He gets very easily adapted to new environment. He is sociable and pleasant with the guests. He enjoys fishing, swimming, reading and  visiting historical sites. He speaks English and Spanish.

 

Bossun:                         Ilias Kypreos, 30 years old, Greek Nationality, married with one child. He is a high school graduate and he is holding a Coastal Navigator's Diploma. He has two years of experience in large cruise ships, two years with M/Y ARIADNE, one year with M/Y PANORAMA, six years with M/Y ALTHEA and two years with M/Y ALARGA. He re-joined ALTHEA in January 2013. He enjoys all sea-sport activities, fishing, clay-pigeon shooting, synthesizer, dancing. Ilias is a very charismatic and cheerful character. He speaks English.

 

Engineer:                      Johacim Samir, 36 years old, Syrian Nationality. He graduated from the Marine Academy of Leningrad. He has 5 years of experience in various yachts and cruising ships. He speaks English, French, Greek, Arabic and Russian.

 

Cook:                            Michael Pontikakos, 59 years old, Greek Nationality. He has 35 years of experience on several ships and Yachts among them: HELLAS, POLIKOS, ZENON, MARY G, SPALMATORI, DOLPHIN, IRINI, ILIANA, ALMEA and for the last 3 years ALTHEA. He speaks English.

 

Steward:                       Ioannis Sgardelis, 61 years old, Greek Nationality. He holds an A' Class Steward Diploma. He has 28 years of experience of sea service (17 years on Sun Line cruise ships, 5 years on Royal Odyssey Cruises and 6 years on various passenger yachts. He speaks English.

Steward:                       Ganasekaram Kanapathypillai, 36 years old, Sri Lanka Nationality. He has 10 years of experience onboard ALMEA. He speaks English and Greek.
